Why Do Lawyers Need Websites? |

|
There are two reasons for a law firm to have a website. First, whether they want to admit it, law firms need to market their practices. Second, law firms can offer information to their potential clients about their staff and can offer information about areas law in which they practice. Websites can allow potential clients to contact the office, can allow them to submit information to the office, and allow the practice to send out newsletters to clients.
Websites can include directions to the office, biographies of attorney and any paralegal staff, and any significant cases and honors. Some firms include representative clients, testimonials from clients, and links to important information.
Many, perhaps most, law firm websites change only rarely, and many have not changed in years. A stale website can be worse than no website at all. Joomla and other Content Management System software allows users to change their own content on a weekly, or even daily basis.
