Is JCE Editor a "must'have" extension? Maybe not, but if you try it, you won't want to be without it. Joomla comes with a nice text editor, which can be used without even opening the administrative portion of the website. Most power users would not be without Joomla Content Editor, or JCE. The Joomla development team at extensions.joomla.org   has made JCE an Editor's Pick at www.Joomla.org , and also the most favored extension, by popular vote. Don't wait until you have already set up your first website, as I did. 

      JCE has released a working Editor for Joomla 1.5, and it works as well on Joomla 1.5 sites as JCE always worked on Joomla 1.0 sites, with added functionality and more intutitive interface. Click here for the information and link to downloadable files. 

      While there are five files, only the first three files, the plug-in, the com and the bot file, are necessary to make it work in Joomla 1.5.

    JCE allows users much broader choice of font types and sizes, and allows control of photos and graphics.Users have the ability to choose the size of the image and to allow for thumbnail images, which grow larger when the mouse is placed over the image.
