One of the more popular books is Building Websites with Joomla! by Hagen Graf, who wrote a similar book about Mambo Content Management System software.
    Some readers really like this book; some are really disappointed. It may be worthwhile to have, but it would not be my first choice. If LearnJoomla is a step-by-step cookbook, Graf's book is a novel, which actually describes imaginary characters who are setting up a website for a winery. I just wanted to set up a website for a law office. A "must have?" Only if you have a winery.
