			<description>
This site is designed for lawyers and law firms who want a website that is excellent, affordable and easily maintained. If you think that sounds too good to be true, you would have been right, until the advent of Content Management System software, or CMS, and particularly Joomla web design software.

Joomla (http/www.joomla.org) is ideal for two groups of lawyers. First, many may want to design their own website with an application that is easier to use than traditional web design software. Joomla is ideal for that purpose. However, for those who would like to have someone else design their website, they can hire someone to design their website. CMS software, particularly Joomla, offers the lawyer or firm the ability to make changes to a site designed by someone else, with virtually no learning curve.

			<title>Listing on Google Maps</title>
			<link>http://joomlawyer.org/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=37&amp;Itemid=72</link>
			<description>
This is not a Joomla-specific recommendation, but can be extremely useful, so I am including it, to help your site come up on Google searches. This is in addition to adding your site to Google at http://www.google.com/addurl/ (http://www.google.com/addurl/). Most firms don&amp;#39;t know that they can have their name, address, website and other specifics listed in Google, in a way that will make their firm and its website come up more easily.

This will take a minute or less, it&amp;#39;s free, and can be as productive as all the work you can do on Search Engine Optimization, that can take hours or hundreds of dollars.

	Go to Google Maps (http://maps.google.com), and in the lower left portion of the page, click on Add or Edit your business
	Click Add a new listing
	Fill out the information, including website address. You can list your areas of specialization, office hours and a brief description of your practice.

	You will be asked for confirmation, by telephone or by mail. Include a contact who will know why Google is calling your office.

With this simple step, when people search Google area for an attorney or law firm in your area, it is more likely that your name, address and website will come up on the Google search. It will take Google a week or two to add your particulars to their listings.

This idea came from www.joomlachurch.org (http://www.joomlachurch.org) .
